Easy Homemade Noodles

Hey Everyone!

So, I realize that this post isn't technically about baking since it's a recipe for noodles, however these are the best noodles you'll ever have so we'll make an exception just this once:)

All you need is
1 pound of flour
5 eggs(plus one incase the mixture is too dry)

Alright step one: Pour the flour into a large mixing bowl and shape so that there is a hole in the middle of the pile.

Step two: Crack your 5 eggs into the hole in the middle of the flour

Now you're going to start folding the flour from the outside edges onto the eggs(I've found that this is the best way to mix the flour and eggs if you're trying to avoid a goopy mess)

From here you should be able to combine the eggs and flour relatively easily, but if not try adding an extra egg or some water to make it easier to mix - just know that you'll need to add more flour later.

Once combined you can run the dough through an old fashioned noodle cutter or cut the noodles yourself!

To cut the noodles yourself, roll out the dough to your desired thickness of noodles, using flour to make sure its not sticking to the counter or the rolling pin.

Now take a pizza cutter and cut strips of the dough the length and width you want.(note these noodles will not expand while cooking like store bought noodles)

Toss your noodles in a bowl with flour to prevent them from sticking together.

Place your noodles in boiling water and cook for about 7-10 minutes(cook time depends on how you like your pasta, I prefer mine al dente:)

Remove from boiling water and strain over sink, rinsing with cold water to remove any flour residue.

Serve with whatever you'd like!(I love it with butter, salt, and pepper... yumm)

I hope you guys love this recipe as much as I do, and feel free to shoot me a comment with any questions!
